The Soho based company that publishes award-winning weekly newspapers THE VILLAGER, DOWNTOWN EXPRESS, GAY CITY NEWS, CHELSEA NOW seek outstanding and self-confident advertising sales professionals.

You: articulate, never gives up, persuasive, ready with a message, smart, organized, energetic, a graduate of an accredited 4-year college or university (preferred) and have previous advertising or related sales experience (newspaper advertising sales experience is a plus). You should have a general understanding of selling display advertising, creating sales proposals, using Excel and Word, selling on rate card and communicating demographic data research to make your sale. Knowledge of contact management software is helpful.

You: be a team player, enjoy working in a diverse environment, able to meet and exceed $$ goals, fearless...ready to make tons of cold calls (mostly an in person road warrior but some phone sales) and prospect everywhere and everything for new advertisers. Skilled in getting past the gate keeper and through to the decision makers. Your oral and written presentation skills should be excellent.

Salay plus commission, vacation/benefits.
